What is a SNT?
Safer Neightbourhood Teams (SNTs) are ‘frontline’ policing
teams, at the heart of the community, working with the public,
partner agencies and other internal police teams.
The aims of the SNT are to reduce crime and anti-social
behaviour, increase the amount of crime successfully detected
and to raise the public’s confidence in Norfolk Police, ensuring
that people are satisfied with the service they receive from their
police officers.
The teams also investigate local crime, manage offenders,
provide support and advice to people adversely affected by all
crime and anti-social behaviour and work to provide long-term
solutions to community issues and problems.
They communicate directly with residents and people who
work or study in their area to ensure that they are addressing
the issues that matter most to them.
